A superb pitcher, Annabelle was the first woman to pitch a no-hitter and the first to pitch a perfect game in the AAGPBL. She retired from the AAGPBL with the Peoria Red Wings in 1950.

Bill Lee and Annabelle Lee
Annabelle Lee (1922-2008) played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). Lee began her career as a professional softball player in Southern California where she was known as one of the elite "California Girls". Annabelle joined the AAGPBL in 1944 and played with a number of girl's teams, including the short-lived Minneapolis Millerettes, the Grand Rapids Chicks, the Peoria Red Wings, and the Fort Wayne Daisies.
